Imam Ali quotes about bravery can shed a light onto his life. He will always be remembered not only for his decisions and judgments but also for his bravery. His bravery was not only praised by his companions but also by his enemies. Even the strongest feared him. Following are some of his quotes about bravery:

Do not Fear Anything But Sins:

Imam Ali (R.A) said:
Have hope only in Allah. Be afraid of nothing but sins

He had always told Muslims to believe only in Allah and ask from Him only. He said that we should have our hopes only in Allah even in the hours of extreme need and desperation. If you believe in Allah, you will not have to fear from anything. But you must have a fear of sins and should not get involved in the lusts and attractions of this world.

Importance of Bravery:

Imam Ali’s whole life is a great example of bravery. He always fought bravely and has explained importance of being brave in his following saying:

Imam Ali (R.A) had always respected rights of other religions and protected rights of Muslims. He said:

If the right usurped from us is given back to us we shall take it, otherwise we shall go on claiming it

It can be taken as the rights of a whole community or the rights of a single person. Everyone has his rights and he has to be brave enough to protect his rights. Ailments of Life:

Imam Ali (R.A) has also explained the ailments of life so that we can get rid of these ailments and may spend a happy and successful life. He said:

If we have to face some difficult times or situation in life, we must be patient as it takes a lot of courage to be patient. Islam has given a great emphasis on patience. It can be further understood in another saying of Imam Ali (R.A.):
If you overpower your enemy, then pardon him by way of thankfulness to Allah, for being able to subdue him.

When you overpower your enemy, you know you can do anything with him as you want. But Imam Ali (R.A) has told us to be patient and pardon him. We will have to be very brave if we want to pardon our enemy. It really takes lots of courage and patience.
